The inspiration for the Cosmic Queen came from the Electro-Harmonix Double Muff. Using the dual setting as the foundation, I wanted to add more low end and incorporate a tone control.
The result is a medium-gain drive with a very natural, transparent character that retains the clarity and voice of your guitar. Rather than sounding like a pedal sitting in front of the amp, it feels more like adding another gain stage to the amplifier.
It also cleans up extremely well with the guitar's volume control and works just as well as an additional gain stage for pushing other pedals.
