Inspired by one of the most popular circuits of the early 1970s, the Violet Ram’s Head, the Violet Menace has an added mids control that expands your tonal options while preserving the character of the original circuit.

For that classic scooped-mid sound, use the Ram’s Head symbol on the mids control as your starting point. It marks the approximate setting for the original circuit’s mids. Turn the mids control up from the symbol to add mids for a fuller sound that cuts through a live band mix, or turn it down for a deeper scoop. The marked setting gets you very close to the original sound, with small adjustments to the mids and tone controls helping you dial it in.

The mids and tone controls work together, giving you plenty of room to explore and create your own sound.

The overall tone of the Violet Menace is balanced and smooth, delivering rich harmonics, singing sustain, punchy chords, and articulate lead tones.
