Making the Vintage Edition series has always been something I have loved. Being able to make pedals that use vintage, obsolete and NOS parts and offering them to players has been a passion of mine.
This new run of pedals are almost entirely made by hand and by some great people here in Florida.
The stainless steel enclosures are bent by hand, the graphics are all screen printed by hand, the wood boxes are all made by hand and, as always, the boards are populated by me, everything is hand-wired and soldered by me and I put every pedal together by hand, by me.
THIS IS A BLEMISHED 1975 V2 "VIOLET" Ram's Head
There are a couple of very light scratches on the face of the pedal.
One of the best versions of the Ram's Head is the "Violet" version.
The overall tone of the pedal is very balanced from low to high and it has a ton of warm, smooth fuzz that make chords full while retaining string clarity.
Lead tones are very smooth, punchy and warm. Harmonics jump out with very little effort.
Stomp Under Foot pedals are made by hand using only quality, through-hole components.
Named after Frank Zappa's recording studio, the Utility Muffin Research Kitchen, this Vintage Edition of Zappa's, modified, late 1970's Big Muff™ has some changes done that make it a very different muff circuit.
The mods, made to the pedal, give it a very smooth, warm sound on the bass side but allows a little brightness on the high strings.
The gain of the pedal was reduced, making it more of a low to medium overdrive/fuzz mix.
The pedal yields a full-bodied, smooth, low-end and sweet highs with a little bite on lead notes.

The Vintage Edition, Black Russian is made with the some of the same parts found in the early Triangle muffs with Black Russian part values.
This gives the pedal a vintage tone while also retaining the sound characteristics of the Black Russian.
This version of the Black Russian is based off of the second version, or eight screw. I always felt that the second version has the perfect combination of parts and transistors that give it an amazing, gritty, fuzz tone with a nice open feel while still retaining the fullness of the Russian muffs.

The 1972 V6 Tri-Muff is one of the most popular versions of the Triangle.
It has a gritty, wooly fuzz on chords and a sweet, creamy smoothness on leads.
The tone of the pedal yields a tight and full low-end with a sustaining, clear high-end.
The 1972 pedals are known for having a lot of gain which produces amazing harmonics that jump off the fret-board.
This was made with some of the same exact capacitors found in the original. These caps are very hard to find and have been obsolete for some time.

Having everything made by hand will have some minor imperfections. I feel these add to the uniqueness of having everything made by hand and it adds to the similarities of the originals.
